Innovation technology serves the environment protection : Czech experience
11.03.15 Acquaintance with the activity of the AO K&K TECHNOLOGY company was made on 6-10 February in 2015 during the stay of the candidate of the psychological science and assistant professor of the Biotechnology and Human Health Department O. Kushch in Czech. Due to the leaders of the company, to the Chairman of the Board, General director Vatslav Kutil and the leading manager, the Head of the Company Department Vatslav Husints there were held the presentation concerning the main directions of the company`s activity. The headquarter is situated in Klatovy, Plsenskyi Krai, Czech Republic. АО K&K TECHNOLOGY is an engineering and contract company-provider, that has been oriented for a long time on complex services and supply, necessary for equipment production and environment protection : cleaning stations of the communal, agriculture and industrial water, cleaning stations of drink water, economy of force, silt processing, biogas station, boiler house and industrial control systems.
Among services of the AO K&K TECHNOLOGY company there are : primary consultations, projection, production, commissioning, as well as operating consulting, advanced training in equipment service. The company has been worked for over 20 year. The base of the successful business relations is its own research and developments, modern technology of projection and construction, qualitative production technological equipment, thought-out mounting, active participation in renewal of the equipment and its commissioning, services deal with after warranty service and permanent operating consulting. The main competitive advantage is the individual approach to every client and common search of optimal decision.
The group of K&K companies has around 300 workers and its annual goods turnover ranges from 400-600 million Czech crown (16-24 millions euro).

The company is the leading producer and provider of communal, agriculture and industrial stations for production and energy use of biogas. During the last years the production and the energy use of biogas of different organic wastes and raw materials has become the successful field of the enterprise.
For biogas production one can use not only dung of the cattle and swine breeding but also vegetable waste, grass, corn silage, animal waste, meat and bone, flour and its mixture. Nowadays more and more often at the biogas plants one use waste, that is biologically decomposed.
AO K&K TECHNOLOGY proposes a projection, building and starting, exploitation of the biogas stations as well as operating consulting. The problems of the biogas plants within the group of K&K companies solves the subsidiary AO BIOGAS TECHNOLOGY.
The possibility of biogas energy use is quite big. Thus, modern technology helps to extract from 1m3 of biogas ≈ 6 KW/hour of electrical energy. In general the efficiency coeficient of cogeneration of biogas stations is the following: 35-40% - energy production, 45-55% - useful warm. Loss – 5-20%.
During the stay in Czech there was a chance to acquaint with production and energy biogas use of different organic waste and rwa materials. The head of the Company Department conducted presentation about biotechnology and other activity directions, there was a chance to see active installations that produce biogas: station of energy biogas use and production, that uses effluents of local communal economy and station, that uses vegetable waste, grass, corn silage, animal waste. The energy biogas use and production station, that uses effluents of local communal economy is shown on Figure 2-6.

Acquaintance with technology of the biogas production and use was the most interesting. It uses vegetable waste, grass, corn silage, animal waste, that is situated in one of the farm. The information about it is shown on the Figure 7-9.

At the communal effluents cleaning station of Czech work cogenerational blocks with total power 16,2 MW of electrical energy. For cogeneration there is used aggregates with power from 40 till 1000 KW of electrical energy. Nowadays more than 50 % of biogas is burned I the cogenerational blocks. Return of the investment from the use of the cogeneration installation ranges from 2 till 5 years.
The use of the biogas production technology reduces the dependence of the treatment plants from the outer energy source. Production of warm from the biogas can provide all the conditions of the treatment plants. Energy production due to the cogeneration according to the technological conditions from 50-100% of need of treatment plants. As a rule the proportion of the energy production is increasing according to the size of the station.
Acquaintance with the innovation technologies, that is used for environment protection, due to the example of the Czech experience turned out interesting and useful. The leaders of the AO K&K TECHNOLOGY company is interested in cooperation with our university.
