Improving relations with Technology and Economy Institute in České Budějovice

Acquaintance with the activity of the Technology and Economy Institute in České Budějovice was made on 9-11 February in 2015 during the stay of the candidate of the psychological science and assistant professor of the Biotechnology and Human Health Department O. Kushch in Czech.

The Technology and Economy Institute in České Budějovice - Vysoká škola technická a ekonomická v Českých Budějovicích (VŠTE) is a powerful higher educational establishment of professional training, a state institution , thats why lots of students have here a free-pay education. The Technology and Economy Institute in České Budějovice differs from other Czech technical schools due to the practical training. Education programs have one additional semester of professional training and practice at particular firms on training course, that is considered specialized for professional training. Due to this graduates can easily start the practical activity, be competitive on the labor market and choose the direction of magistracy.

For the last 4 years the amount of students at the Technology and Economy Institute in České Budějovice has been increased to several thousands, nowadays there are 4 thousand students. There at the Institute were accredited new branches of bachelor degree, such as Engineering, Transport and Transportation Technology, as well as magistracy on speciality Logistics Technology. For the last years several outstanding assistant professors have appeared at the Technology and Economy Institute in České Budějovice. These professors together with those who has worked in regional economical and building branches, have created a powerful academic school.

Accept this regional expansion, they improve the internal structure of school and make it closer to the European standards. In 2011-2012 the Technology and Economy Institute received DS Label and ECTS Laber awards, that proved this school meets all the requirements, recommended by the European Committee. In 2014 the school was received a certificate concerning the accreditation of the Bachelor of Business Administration, that means that its educational programs and courses meet the requirements of the Bologna process. It makes easier the cooperation , scientific research and students exchange in those countries, where it was signed.

During the stay at the Technology and Economy Institute in České Budějovice there was a meeting with Stefan Husar, pro-rector for Science and Internal Relations and the representatives of the Engineering Department.

During the meeting there were discussed the possibility of cooperation in the field of education, students and professors exchange, particular, within the international program Erasmus+, common publication in the scientific magazines.

The Technology and Economy Institute for studying subjects uses branched information system, that helps student to make their own curriculum and follow the individual educational credit. Rules that must be followed are algorithmized in the system and helps student to make his curriculum. These services cancel the paper logbook and simplify most of student`s activities, both during the process of study and behind it.

The Internet-portal represents editorial center of the Institute and include current curriculum and materials that are referential for creating publication platform for authors.



During the stay at the Technology and Economy Institute in České Budějovice ther was a meeting with the representatives of the Engineering Department. The Department provides full education in the field of engineering. At the present time the Department has a big staff potential that consists of scientists and experts-practicians. The staff has a great work experience at different universities and professional engineering practice in Czech Republic and Slovak Republic.



Due to the meeting with the leaders and colleagues there was a chance to agree on cooperation in the field of education, students and professors exchange, particular, within the international program Erasmus+, common publication in the scientific magazines. In the future there is a chance to agree on program development of the scientific cooperation, in particular, common research in the field of technics, technology and economy.
