The visit of Polish delegation to the city of Kremenchug
31.03.15 On 18th of March, the Polish delegation of Economics University of WSG in Bydgoszcz (Poland) visited our hometown. The purpose of the visit was to review the educational potential of Kremenchug, discuss future common projects, sign the agreement on creation of the Centre of Polish culture, language and economy as well as the cooperation agreement between these two universities.
Polish delegation was headed by the President of WSG Mr. Krzysztof Sikora. The delegation consisted of the Director of the Institute of cultural studies of WSG, Professor Mr. Marek Hamath and the Commissioner for development of cooperation with Eastern Europe of WSG, Professor Mr. Cezary Kostselyak. Polish delegation was accompanied by the Head Consul of Poland in Kharkiv Mr. Stanislav Łukasik and the Vice-Consul of the Head Consulate of Poland in Kharkiv Mr. Yang Zdanovski.
During the official meeting with the city head all the present had an opportunity to exchange views on strengthening cooperation between Poland and Ukraine. The city head thanked the Polish colleagues for supporting our country during these difficult political and economic times. Participants emphasized the importance of cooperation, particularly in the educational and scientific fields.
After the official reception in Kremenchug City Council the Polish delegation visited our university to explore and discuss the ways of cooperation.
Rector Mykhailo Zagirnyak told the guests about the history, structure, scientific and technical work of the Kremenchug Mykhailo Ostrohradskyi National University.
They discussed possible areas of cooperation between our institutions, such as short-term and long-term exchange of students and teachers, especially through the Erasmus+ program, as well as common participation in the international conferences, programs and double certification.
For more practical acquaintance with the university the Polish delegation visited the laser jet cutting laboratory, automated electric drive of a typical industrial machinery, equipment and system management of technological objects and complexes.
The cooperation agreement, that was signed at the end of the meeting by the President of WSG Krzysztof Sikora and the Rector of KrNU Mykhailo Zagirnyak, strengthened the intention for cooperation.
