KrNU participation in Ukraine Higher Education Leadership Development Programme
14.03.16 The first stage of Ukraine Higher Education Leadership Development Programme (further – the Programme), Development Centre, took place on the 2nd of March 2016 in Kyiv. 12 universities including Kremenchuk Mykhailo Ostrohradskyi National University had been selected for participation in the Programme in 2016/17 academic year.
The participants were greeted by Svitlana Kalashnikova, coordinator of the Programme, Director of the Institute of Higher Education of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine, Natalia Vasyliuk, Deputy Director of British Council in Ukraine, Inna Sovsun, First Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine, Helen Faisy, Deputy Ambassador of UK in Ukraine, Vasyl Kremen, President of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine.
The Programme is the result of partnership of the Institute of Higher Education of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine, British Council in Ukraine, Leadership Foundation of Higher Education (UK) and is realized with support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. The main aim is to make qualitative changes in the educational system of Ukraine (at university level, first of all) and provide future generations of Ukrainians the education they deserve.
Our university team consisting of Mykhaylo Zagirnyak, Andrii Pochtoviuk, Andrii Markevych, Denys Zagirniak, Inna Khovrak, Serhii Serhienko, Iryna Anurina have developed the project called “Complex approach to the higher education quality assurance system” selected by the competition committee for realization within the frameworks of the Programme.
During 3-day Development Centre there was represented the main concept of the Programme. The teams were prepared and trained for further realization of the projects, participation in the next stages of the Programme with the help of various interactive tasks, models and approaches.
According to the terms of the Proggrame the participants receive grand and mentor support for realization of educational reforms in Ukraine and will cooperate and exchange experience with UK universities.
