In the period from 25th to 29th of September, our university had some remarkable science events (lectures, seminars, science consulting for the participants of scientific research at our university) in the framework of the Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility Program, namely in the framework of the visit of representative of the University of Ljubljana (Slovenia) the leading expert in projection of electric motors of Professor Damijan Miljavec.
During staying in our university, Professor Damian Miljavec has official meetings with head of our university, was acquainted with scientific achievements of the Institute of Electromechanics, Energy Saving and Automatic Control Systems, Department of Mathematics and Computer Science and Manufacturing engineering Department. Moreover, the Slovenian expert held a series of consulting meetings with leading scholars of KrNU about opportunities for further cooperation and participation in the international grants. In general, the professor highly appreciated the scientific potential of the researchers of our university.
Professor Miljavec also had a lecture course for students, post-graduate students and young teachers from the Institute of Electromechanics, Energy Saving and Automatic Control Systems on the topics:
• “Modeling of special purpose electric machines”;
• “Using design of experiment in the tasks of optimization construction of electric motors”.
Lectures were conducted in English, contained theoretical aspects and various examples of existing technical solutions and current scientific tasks. Lecturers have gained valuable experience from communicating with the professor.
These activities became the implementation of the second phase of the program of academic exchanges between our universities. The first phase of Erasmus + began in February 2017 with the transfer to the University of Ljubljana of postgraduate student from Department of Automatic Control and Electric Drives, Roman Manko, who was chosen by the Competition Commission of the KrNU and successfully passed a semester course on the basis of the Department of Electrical Engineering at the partner university.
It should also be noted that the history of successful cooperation between the KrNU and the University of Ljubljana lasts for about 15 years, which testifies to the high level of responsibility and high quality of implementation of international projects by partner universities.
