Training on Climate change and water resources: risk and adaptation decrease will be held in October 22-23, 2009 in Chernigiv.

Youth Information Campaign on Climate Change has just started in Ukraine. It was founded by Sustainable Development and Ecological Education Center and supported by the Campaign on Climate Change of the U.S. Department of State.
Information Campaign is supposed to be held with the participation of students and young scientists from three Ukrainian universities: Kremenchuk Mykhaylo Ostrogradskiy State University, National University of Bioresources and Nature Management (Kyiv) and Kamianets-Podilskyi State University and aimed at training of the state experts on climate change and spreading of this knowledge among students. Then participants of this campaign will have to work out their own project on adaptation and moderate actions reacting to climate changes on the local level and implement it in the university.
The winners of the student projects contest will take part in the All-Ukrainian Conference for young scientists to be conducted in the Kremenchuk Mykhaylo Ostrogradskiy State University in April 2010 and get incentive premiums awarded by the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine.
In the framework of the Youth Information Campaign students and young scientists from our university will participate in the training on Climate change and water resources: risk and adaptation decrease held in October 22-23, 2009 in Desnianskiy Basin Water Resources Management Office in Chernigiv. The organizers and participants of this training are Sate Committee on Water Management, Desnianskiy Basin Water Resources Management Office, Sustainable Development and Ecological Education Center. The participants of the training will overview European and Ukrainian policy on the reaction to climate change in the field of water resources and adaptation measures.
