Participation of Kremenchuk Mykhaylo Ostrogradskiy State University delegation in the VII International Forum “Subsurface management problems”
From April,19 to April, 25, 2010 the delegation of Kremenchuk Mykhaylo Ostrogradskiy State University consisting of prof. Information science and higher mathematics department Victor Liashenko, Information science and higher mathematics department assistant Tetiana Grygorova postgraduate of this department Olena Kobylska worthily presented our University at the VII International Forum “Subsurface management problems”. It was held in one of the most powerful institutions of the northern capital of Russia - St. Petersburg State Mining Institute named after Plekhanov (Technical University). This Institute was founded in 1773 and was the first higher technical educational institution in Russia. Currently about seven thousand students are studying there.
International forum of young scientists “Subsurface management problems” was held within a development program “The National Research University” and is aimed: to develop a system of training highly qualified specialists for raw material and fuel and energy complexes. Moreover the Forum is purposed to support the most talented young scientists of technical universities and also to establish and develop international scientific cooperation between them.
The Forum brought together more than 25 scientific organizations in the world, including the Yerevan State University (Armenia), Technical University of Madrid (Spain), University of Eastern Ontario (Canada), Vilnius University (Lithuania), University of Science and Technology (Poland), Polytechnic School La sal Beauvais (France), Mining Academy Freiberg (Germany), Russian State University of Oil and Gas and others. Ukraine was represented by four delegations, including the delegation of Kremenchuk Mykhaylo Ostrogradskiy State University. The total number of participants was over 250.
The delegation of our University presented two reports, which generated interest from researchers of other scientific organizations in the world. Colleagues from Belarus, Russia and Poland are interested in further cooperation.
Thus was the first step in hopefully long and close friendship and experience exchange between our universities, particularly young scientists and participate in this event every year will become a tradition.
