Victor Sarancha, PhD student of Ukrainian study Department, participated in the International scientific conference “Historical Memory: People and age” (Moscow, Russian Federation).
From November 24 to November 28 Victor Sarancha, PhD student of Ukrainian study Department, participated in the International scientific conference “Historical Memory: People and age”. This conference was organized by State Academic University of Humanities and Institute of General History (Russian Academy of Sciences, Moscow, Russian Federation). The plenary meeting was held at the Russian Academy of Sciences, and breakout sessions - at the Department of History (State Academic University of Humanities).
Victor Sarancha was a chairman of the section “Historical Memory and the world wars of the XX century”. He also presented his report “Historical Memory of the First World War at the beginning of the XXI century: between reconstruction and “new myths creation”.
During the conference Victor Sarancha met colleagues from Moscow (HimonT.V., Vinokurova M.V.), Minsk (Maksymchyk A.M.), Nizhny Novgorod (Nicholai F.W.), Yekaterinburg (Bychkova S.I.), Ulyanovsk (Lipatova N.V.), Naberezhnye Chelny (Umarova M.R.), Rivne (Troyan S.S.), Kyiv (Kyrydon A.M.) and other cities. Scientists exchanged information as to the development of historical science in their Universities. Victor Sarancha also informed participants of the conference about scientific activities in Kremenchuk Mykhailo Ostrohradsskyi National University. Participants were interested in the development of cooperation with Kremenchuk Mykhailo Ostrohradskyi National University.
During the visit to Moscow, Victor Sarancha was informed about the latest developments of foreign and Ukrainian scientists as to the research of historical memory and modern research methods of topical history issues.
