Participation of the delegation from Kremenchuk Mykhailo Ostrohradskyi National University in International PhD Workshop 2011(Poland)
09.11.11

From 16.10.2011 to 27.10.2011 the delegation from Kremenchuk Mykhailo Ostrohradskyi National University participated in the Eastern European Summer School and International Conference of Young Scientists OWD` 2011. The invitations were sent by prof. Jerzy Rutkovsky, vice rector for International Relations of Silesian University of Technology. The delegation included: assistant Mamchur D., senior lecturer Zachepa I., PhD student Svistun A., (Automation control systems and electric drive department), PhD student Kostenko P. (Computer and information systems department), PhD student Dombrowski S. (Electric machinery and devices department). This visit was financed by the Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education.

The opening of Summer School was held in the conference hall of the Electric Engineering Faculty (Faculty Board Hall).

On the ceremony there were many honored guests such as Dean and faculty leadership, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of Poland, representatives of Mechatronics department, headed by the prof. Krzysztof Klyuchynsky.
On the plenary session there were presented two lectures: Dr. Marek Ktsiuk "Productive mechanisms from alloy with form fixing" and Dr. Wojciech Burlikovsky "Application of the Hamilton`s formalism in electromechanics."
After the plenary session there were held some excursions to laboratories of the Faculty of Automatic Control, Electronics and Computer Science - "Virtual laboratory for flying" and "Laboratory of mobile robot".

There was demonstrated some equipment: stationary and mobile simulators of planes and helicopters piloting and control. After lunch there was a lecture of prof. Barbara Skolud in the new 3D-laboratory of the University on the topic "3D technology in the training of engineers".

This laboratory was founded with the help of 150 scientists of the Mechanical Engineering Faculty, who developed 200 applications during 30 months and cost three million Euros. In the framework of the lecture there were demonstrated some developed applications, and then participants discussed it.
On the next day there was a meeting with vice rector for International Relations prof. Jerzy Rutkovsky and Head of Mechatronics department prof. Krzysztof Klyuchynsky in the conference hall (Senate Hall) of Mining and Geology Faculty.

During the meeting, there was a presentation of Silesian University of Technology and participating delegations. Then the participants got a lecture of Dr. Richard Nakonechny (Department of Architecture) "Architecture of the Old Town in Krakow and Bielsko-Biala."
After the completion of Summer School participants were able to do some memory photos in the conference hall of the University.

Very interesting was the excursion to Krakow. Participants of OWD`2011 visited the castle of Polish kings and walked along Old Town.

After that there was a trip by bus to Katowice, where participants visited an organ concert of prof. Julian Hembalski "Music of Franz Liszt."

After the concert all participants were invited to observe the construction of the organ and different methods of music formation with the help of this instrument.

The next excursion was to Bielsko-Biala town, where participants visited Castle Museum, Old Town and the historic brewery "Byelits".

After closure of the Summer School, the International Conference of Young Scientists OWD` 2011 was opened. The conference consisted of five sections such as: Section A: automation, control theory, robotics, computer science, mathematical methods.
Section B: electronics, microelectronics, sensors, metrology, optoelectronics, renewable energy, materials for microelectronics.
Section C: medical bioengineering, recognition and synthesis of image and language, artificial intellect, neural networks. Section D: electrical machines, drives, energy electronics, engineering, industrial automation, electric power.
Members of the delegation of Kremenchuk Mykhailo Ostrohradskyi National University took an active part in sections A, B, D, headed 4 sessions of various sections and took an active part in the discussions. Total number of reports, presented during the conference, was about 110. Our young scientists also presented at the conference five reports:

- Sergii Dombrowskyi - ADAPTIVE SUPPRESSION OF GEOMETRIC NOISE ON AN IRREGULAR NONSTATIONARY PHOTODETECTOR MATRIX STRUCTURE

- Anton Svistun - THE ACCOUNT OF NONLINEARITY OF MAGNETIZATION CURVE IN THE CALCULATION OF VECTOR CONTROL SYSTEM

- Dmytro Mamchur - AN INSTANTANEOUS POWER SPECTRA ANALYSIS AS A METHOD FOR INDUCTION MOTORS FAULT DETECTION

- Iurii Zachepa - RESEARCH OF THE OPERATION MODES OF THE AUTONOMOUS ASYNCHRONOUS GENERATOR WITH TYPICAL AC CUSTOMERS

- Pavlo Kostenko - SQL-QUERY SYNTACTIC OPTIMIZATION BASED ON THE LOCAL MODEL OF THE CONTROLLED PROCESS

After sessions participants visited a folk music concert and solo concert of Eve Kopchinsky devoted to Edith Piaf. After the concerts there was a philosophical lecture of prof. Tadeusz Slavek.
After the conference there was plenary meeting of young experts and ceremony of awarding.
There were 4 awards from the International scientific organizations, six awards from the Deans of leading Universities of Poland, two awards from the Polish scientific societies and one award from the Polish scientific journal. Also, for the first time, as a part of the conference, there were established eight separate awards of young experts.

One of our delegators, Dmytro Mamchur, was awarded with the prize of Dean of Electrical, Electronics, Informatics and Automation Faculty of Lodz Technical University.

As a result of our delegation participation in OWD `2011 there were published six articles. The five articles are the materials of our participants` presentations. The sixth article was created by assoc. prof. Andrii Kalinov in collaboration with PhD student, Anna Chumachova (Automation control systems and electric drive department): "APPROACH TO THE COMPENSATION OF THE INDUCTION MOTOR PARAMETERS ASYMMETRY BY MEANS OF THE FREQUENCY-CONTROLLED ELECTRIC DRIVE".
We congratulate our colleagues with the successful participation in the conference. We hope that next year our young scientists will support this tradition and in the fifth time with dignity represent Kremenchuk Mykhailo Ostrohradskyi National University to the international community.
