Scientists from Kremenchuk Mykhailo Ostrohradskiy National University participate to the “Open World Program”

Òðèâàë³ñòü ïðîãðàìè: 31.10.12 – 02.11.12 (Âàøèíãòîí, Îêðóã Êîëóìá³ÿ), 02.11.12 – 11.11.12 (Ðîóçáóðã, øòàò Îðåãîí).The program lasted 12 days (three days in Washington D. C., 9 days in Roseburg, Oregon).
The program aims at strengthening mutual understanding and cooperation between Ukraine and the USA by means of giving Ukrainian leaders from different fields of activity an opportunity to meet their American colleagues and exchange experience and ideas on the most important issues for both sides.
KrNU was worthily represented by the assistant professor at Finance and Credit Department I. Hovrak, the assistant professor at Systems of Automatic Control and Electric Drive Department V. Ohar and the assistant professor Transport Technologies Department M. Moroz.
Besides meeting within the frameworks of the program there were also discussions with the municipally representatives and legislators on the issues of financing education, demands to the teachers’ qualification, system of university knowledge and its checking, educational standards, development and estimation of study courses and the system of on-line education.
The participants of the program observed the educational process, met with teaching staff and representatives of the student self-government in Umpqua Community College, Oregon State University, University of Oregon.
They discussed the issue of organizing videoconferences, distant education for teachers, realizing common educational projects, students and teachers exchange and participation of the “Open World” educational establishments in the KrNU scientific and technical projects.
So we are waiting for the guests from the USA in this academic year.
