Developing cooperation with Kansas State University
22.03.13 In the period from December 28, 2012 to March 02, 2013 V. Pidlisniuk, Doctor of Chemical Sciences, Professor at Ecological Safety and Natural Management Department at KrNU, visited Kansas State University (the USA) within the frameworks of the budget program “Study, internship and enhancing qualification of students, PhD students, scientific-pedagogic and pedagogic staff abroad” financed by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. Besides getting acquaintance with the study process in the foreign higher educational institution, delivering a course of lectures and conducting researches she worked actively on the development of KrNU international connections with scientific and educational institutions abroad.
Prof. V. Pidlisniuk had a discussion with Larry Ericksson, Director of Consortium on environmental protection and sustainability, and Sheree Walsh, Consortium Secretary, about the main initiatives and opportunities of membership herein. KrNU was proposed to joint the project on free basis and to participate to monthly meetings on-line.
On February 26, 2013 prof. V. Pidlisniuk had a meeting with Kristine Young, representative of the International Programs Office at Kansas State University. They discussed international programs Kansas State University and KrNU take part in. Doctor Young was interested in cooperation with KrNU, development of the mutual collaboration with Lanzhou Jiaotong University (China), Matej Bel University (Slovak Republic), Opole University and University of Wroclaw (Poland). KrNU has been working with them for many years.
We hope that cooperation with Kansas State University and participation to Consortium will be mutually useful and contribute to strengthening KrNU position on the international scene of education.
