International scientific conference “Regional aspects of sustainable development” (Poland)
23.09.13 In September 12 – 14, 2013 International scientific conference “Regional aspects of sustainable development” took place in Karpacz (Poland), organized by Wroclaw University of Economics together with the partner university – Kremenchuk Mykhailo Ostrohradskyi National University (KrNU). The participants considered the question of the regional development in Poland, peculiarities of territorial planning in the context of sustainability, impact of the creative economic branches into the implementation of sustainable development, peculiarities of the territorial investments, and prospects of the green economy in the implementation of sustainable development.
The conference was participated by the lecturers and PhD students of Wroclaw University of Economics, University of Lodz, University of Gdansk, and representatives of the local authority - Wroclaw Voivodeship. The representatives of Ukraine were also invited for the conference: prof. V. V. Pidlisniuk, assoc. prof. A. B. Pochtoviuk from KrNU as well as V. S. Klymenko, Head of Organization Department at Kamianets-Podilskyi City Council.
KrNU representatives presented their reports. Prof. V. V. Pidlisniuk had a paper written in co-authorship with assoc. prof. I. O. Soloshych “The role of green economics in the implementation of the regional sustainable development in Ukraine”, assoc. prof. A. B. Pochtoviuk – a paper "Management programs in Ukraine: development and definition".
There took place a discussion of the prospects of organizing Forum in Kamianets-Podilskyi in May 2014 under the working title “Sustainable development in Central and Eastern Europe: interaction of business, science and administrative structures” participated by prof. Bohuslav Drelih-Skulska, Head of International Cooperation Department of Wroclaw University of Economics, prof. Stanislav Korenik, Prof Valentyna Pidlisniuk and Valerii Klymenko.
The papers presented at the conference will be published in the periodical review of Wroclaw University of Economics.
