PhD Workshop OWD’2013
28.10.13 On October 14-23, 2013 there was held Eastern Europe Summer School and PhD Workshop OWD’2013 in Poland. The events were organized by the Department of Mechatronics (Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Silesian University îf Technology).
The participants of the conference were scientists specializing in electrotechnics, electronics, computer engineering, robotics, automation and mechatronics from Poland, Belorussia, Ukraine, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Germany, Slovenia, France and other countries. Our university was represented by the delegation composed of Assoc. Prof. Andrii Hladyr, Assoc. Prof. Vita Ohar, PhD students Mykyta Rudenko, Tetiana Bryl and Serhii Dombrovskyi, students Oleksandr Matrynenko and Ruslana Tsukanova.
Within the frameworks of the Summer School there was organized a meeting with the administration and the faculty of Silesian University îf Technology, acquaintance with its structural subdivisions and laboratories.
The participants visited exhibitions of the students’ projects and met the authors. They had excursions to the Opel automobile works (General Motors Company) in Gliwice, the historical industrial object of the Silesian coal mining industry, Guido Coal Mine in Zabrze, educational centre KUKA Roboter CEE GmbH and Porcelain Factory Bogucice in Katowice.
The conference comprised almost 100 sectional reports which were conducted in the atmosphere of friendship combined with the high scientific level. The participants exchanged scientific knowledge and experience.
Participation of our university in this event opened new prospects of the scientific cooperation. In the result of negotiations there will be signed the Agreement of cooperation between the Faculty of Information Science of the Kaunas Technological University and the Faculty of Electronics and Computer Engineering of Kremenchuk Mykhailo Ostrohradskyi National University. There is planned the organization of defending complex diploma projects between the higher educational establishments participated by the students of the Joint Institute of Information Science Problems (Minsk) and KrNU.
