Fruitful cooperation between the Kremenchuk Mykhailo Ostrohradskiy National University and Poland

Zahirnyak and director of the public utility" Kremenchug Center for International Relations and Economic Development " Kremenchuk Invest "of the Kremenchug City Council A. W. Melnyk.
The Consulate General stressed the importance of the Polish-Ukrainian cooperation in education and science.
M. V. Zahirnyak explained to participants the state of the university partnerships with universities and research institutions in Poland and identified possible format for further cooperation between the KrNU and Polish partners, that is the possibility of the students exchange, teachers, co- publication of textbooks, reference books , participation in conferences, double certification. The negotiations were held with two universities on the development of cooperation according to the double certificate program. Among these universities are: the Technical University " Lublin University of Technology " and the Academy of hotel business, tourism and food service. Today, these universities invite the graduate students and specialists for study and offer to get a master`s degree and a second degree in Poland.
The participation in the Ukrainian-Polish projects for the KrNU is already a tradition. The permanent partners of our University are such well-known Polish universities and research institutions like the Institute for Plastic Processing (INOP), University of Opole, Silesian University of Technology, Wroclaw University of Economics, Rzeszow University of Technology.
Rector of the KrNU M. V. Zahirnyak is a member of the Polish Society of the electromagnetism application, an honorary member of the Organizing Committee of the International Conference called the Electromagnetic Phenomena In Nonlinear Circuts, that was founded by Poznanska Polytechnic.
Since 2008, students and teachers of the KrNU have been taken part in the international conference «PhD workshop OWD» and the Eastern Europe Summer School. During this period about thirty people took part in the scientific events, including four candidate of science, ten graduate students, eight teachers and students of our university. Three of the participants later became laureates of the Ukrainian President`s award for young scientists and six among them have defended their dessertations.
Kremenchuk attracts scientists with its cultural and historical ties between Ukraine and Poland. In 2013, the public was presented the book called " Polish pages of the Kremenchuk history ", created jointly by teachers of the Ukrainian faculty A. M. Lushakova, V. I. Maslak , J. M. Osikovich and V. I. Sarancha. The pages of the magazine highlight the role of the Polish state and society in the formation and establishment of the city of Kremenchug.
The signing of the Memorandum of Cooperation opens new prospects for the development of education and science of Kremenchuk, provides opportunities to strengthen our position in the European educational area.
