STUDENTS, POSTGRADUATES AND YOUNG SCHOLARS RESEARCH ACTIVITIES

Information on the students' and young scientists' research work and innovative activities, including the activities of the Council of Young Scientists and other youth structures

  

  In accordance with the Resolution of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine dated 06.05.97 No. 1/9 - 216 "On measures to improve the scientific work of students as an integral part of educational activities, improving work with talented scientific youth" and the Decree of the President of Ukraine dated 04.09.02 No. 315 "On additional measures to support young scientists" on the basis of the Scientific Society of University Students in 2005, the Scientific Society of Students, Postgraduate Students and Young Scientists and its governing body, the Council of Young Scientists, were created.

The main goals of the activity of Scientific Society of Students, Postgraduate Students and Young Scientists are: involvement of young scientists in scientific work; organization of cooperation and exchange of information with similar organizations of higher education institutions of Ukraine and abroad; assistance in the organization of scientific and technical cooperation of young scientists with enterprises of the region. Main forms of activity: holding scientific thematic and informational seminars, scientific and practical conferences, competitions of scientific works, Olympiads, etc.

At the beginning of each academic year, KrNU holds general meetings of Scientific Society of Students, Postgraduate Students and Young Scientists, at which the council of young scientists is elected and the work plan is approved, as well as measures to intensify research work within the framework of the "Student Science" program. In October, a forum of first-year students is held, at which representatives of scientific schools share their experience regarding the priority and prospects of scientific activity.

In 2022, the annual prize of the President of Ukraine for young scientists for the scientific work "Electromechanical systems of increased energy efficiency for objects of industry and transport" was awarded to Ph.D. O. Siomka and Ph.D. V. Nozhenko. Another prize of the President of Ukraine for the scientific work "Innovative technologies of self-propagating high-temperature synthesis" won Ph.D. V. Kulynych. Scholars of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine are associate professors S. Koval and K. Pryakhina.

In accordance with the Letter of the State Scientific Institution "Institute of education content modernization " No. 22.1/10-2646 dated 17.11.2021, with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, on June 2-4, 2022, an the International Competitive Tender of Students' Research Papers was held in 11 specialties: "Economy", "Management", "Business activity, commerce and exchange activities", "Ecology", "Power and electrical engineering, electromechanics", "Automobile transport", "Transport technologies", "Vocational education", "Automation and computer integrated technologies", "Philology", "Civil security".

The competition commission considered 437 student research papers (641 students) submitted from 28 countries of the world (Albania, Austria, Bulgaria, China, the Czech Republic, Estonia, France, Georgia, Germany, India, Israel, Italy, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Malaysia, Morocco, Netherlands, Pakistan, Poland, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Turkey, Ukraine, the United Kingdom of Great Britain, the USA), 141 institutions of higher education (73 higher education institutions of Ukraine, 68 foreign higher education institutions).

160 works of winners were determined, the authors were awarded diplomas of the I-III degrees, of which 39 were scientific works from KrNU. Information about the competition was posted on the websites of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the Institute of education content modernization of Ukraine.

In accordance with the letter of the State Scientific Institution "Institute of education content modernization", the International Student Professional Creative Competition "Publishing Journalism" was held at KrNU. Among the foreign participants were representatives of educational institutions of Azerbaijan, France, Italy, Lithuania, Poland, and Sweden.

24 students of KrNU were awarded scholarships of the Kremenchuk City Council, six students received scholarships for significant success in studies and scientific work.

In November 2022, graduates of the specialty 051 - Economics A. Savelova and I. Tytarenko won the first and third places in the student research competition "Innovative solutions for the circular economy", which took place within the framework of the "Rethink waste week" project of the ERASMUS+ Jean Monnet Project "Production and dissemination of circular economy ideas in accordance with the EU Action Plan".

In November 2022, 13 students of our university received scholarships from the American Kateryna Kovshevych Foundation.

Students A. Haykova and B. Velkin won Academic scholarships of the President of Ukraine for the 1st semester of 2022/2023.

In April 2022, the XXIX International scientific and practical conference of students, postgraduates and young scientists "Actual problems of the society life" was held at the university with the participation of higher education institutions of foreign countries (Canada, China, the Czech Republic, Kazakhstan, Poland, Slovakia, the USA, etc.) and Ukraine. 390 scientific reports have been submitted for participation in the conference, including from 9 countries of the world, as well as 76 participants from 31 higher education institutions of Ukraine, active members of the Poltava branch of the Minor Academy of Sciences of Ukraine in Kremenchuk; Kremenchuk Medical College. The conference took place in an atmosphere of fruitful cooperation. Based on the results of the conference, a collection of scientific papers was published.

On May 19-20, 2022, the XIX International scientific and technical conference of young scientists and specialists "Electromechanical and energy systems, modeling and optimization methods" was held on the basis of the educational and scientific Institute of electrical engineering and information technologies. The conference was co-organized by the Ukrainian Association of Electrical Engineers (UAEE).

In total, our young scientists took part in 87 conferences. During the academic year, students in co-authorship with university scientists prepared and published 449 scientific articles and theses of reports, including more than 110 independently.

KrNU has created an innovative KAB, the regulations on its activities was developed.

Scientific and technical cooperation of KrNU with foreign partners is one of the priority areas of activity. The university actively cooperates with institutions of the European Union, participates in international projects, is a valid member of scientific and educational associations, in particular, the Network of Universities of the Black Sea Region (BSUN) and other scientific and educational organizations. KrNU actively supports and develops broad, versatile relations with scientific institutions and higher education institutions of 25 countries of the world (the university has 75 current international agreements). During 2021, international cooperation agreements were signed with universities in Canada, France, Poland, and Kazakhstan.

On March 15, 2021, representatives of KrNU and the University of Windsor (Canada) remotely signed a framework cooperation agreement and agreed on preparations for the competitive selection of KrNU students to participate in the Canadian government scholarship program "Study in Canada Scholarships".
