Kick-off meeting of the «Digital competence framework for Ukrainian teachers and other citizens» project at Vytautas Magnus University

The representatives of our university participated in the kick-off meeting of Erasmus+ project related to development of higher education potential, «Digital competence framework for Ukrainian teachers and other citizens» – dComFra, 598236-EPP-1-2018-1-LT-EPPKA2CBHE-SP) as a part of the working group on January 16-18, 2019 at Vytautas Magnus University, Kaunas (Lithuania).

Our university was represented by delegation consisted of: Andrii Gladyr – Associate Professor of Electricity Consumption and Power Management department, acting director of the Center for International Activity; Dmytro Mamchur – Associate Professor of Automation and Computer-Integrated Technologies department.

Within the framework of the meeting Andrii Gladyr and Dmytro Mamchur performed a presentation about our university and KrNU experience in the field of implementation digital technologies trainings, got acquainted with the grant funds management procedure, met the representatives of the consortium, took part in a number of working meetings led by the project coordinators from Vytautas Magnus University Dr. Arturas Mickus, Dr. Eilina Dailidiene and the national coordinator of the project, a representative of Kyiv Taras Shevchenko National University, Serhii Bronin.

As a result of the meeting, all the participants received relevant certificates.

The next step of the project is to launch series of trainings for Ukrainian partners in European HEE since February, 2019, aiming the study of European colleagues experience in the field of improvement the digital competences of adults.

Reference. The international coalition includes six European (Vytautas Magnus University; Carinthia University of Applied Sciences; Pedagogical University of Cracow; University Politechnica of Bucharest; Czech University of Life Sciences; Information Technologies Institute) and nine Ukrainian establishments (Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine (MESU); Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv (TSNUK); Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts (KNUCA); National Technical University “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute” (NTU "KhPI"); Donetsk National Technical University (DonNTU); YuriyFedkovychChernivtsi National University (ChNU); Kharkiv National University of Radioelectronics (KNURE); Kremenchuk Mykhailo Ostrohradskiy National University (KrNU); Ukrainian association of IT professionals (UAITP).
All the costs related to the project implementation are funded through a grant from the European Union Erasmus+ Program, line ÊÀ2: Capacity building in Higher Education for the current project “Digital competence framework for Ukrainian teachers and other citizens”, 598236-EPP-1-2018-1-LT-EPPKA2CBHE-SP.
