Currently, the Spanish National Research Council has published the latest edition of the global university ranking Webometrics Ranking of World’s Universities January 2025 (Edition 2025.1.0 beta v2). The January 2025 edition includes almost 32,000 higher education institutions from around the world, 256 of which are Ukrainian. The ranking model is based on both web metrics and bibliometric indicators collected from reliable sources such as Majestic, Google Scholar, and Scimago-Scopus. Web data is gathered during the first ten days of January, while bibliometric information covers the period from 2019 to 2023. The university ranking is based on the following criteria: – Visibility (VISIBILITY) – according to Majestic indicators (50%); – Transparency (TRANSPARENCY) – based on Google Scholar Citations (10%); – Excellence (EXCELLENCE) – calculated by Scimago (40%).
