Goals of sustainable development




GOAL 1: Poverty reduction in all forms and everywhere

Alleviating poverty in all its forms remains one of the greatest challenges facing humanity.

At KrNU, the right to social security is guaranteeing for those seeking education.

Accordingly, in case of total or partial loss of means of livelihood or incurring additional expenses, as well as due to the state of health, such persons may request specific types of social security.

The main goal and tasks of social work in KrNU:

- keeping track of the movement of students of preferential categories;

- drawing up the documentation necessary for the organization of work with students of preferential categories;

- preparation of materials, summaries, reports, current information with students of privileged categories during the educational process;

- compilation of lists of students of preferential categories at the beginning of each month and at the beginning and end of the academic year;

- current and operational work with students from the number of orphans and children deprived of parental care in terms of granting them benefits in accordance with the law: providing them with food, clothing, educational literature, etc.

- registration of one-time assistance upon graduation by students from among orphans and children deprived of parental care;

- maintaining a register of students-beneficiaries regarding their accommodation in the university dormitory.

In addition, considerable attention is paid to citizens who suffered as a result of the military aggression of the Russian Federation:

- a humanitarian aid center for refugees as a result of Russian armed aggression was created;

- a volunteer center for assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine and territorial defense fighters was created;

- a psychological resource room was created by psychologist teachers at the Center for the temporary stay of displaced persons (7 Maiakovskoho Street - Kremenchuk Mykhailo Ostrohradskyi National University dormitory). Together with student psychologists, psychological assistance was providing to the children of forced migrants because of the Russian-Ukrainian war and their parents;

- the teachers of the department of fundamental and branch legal sciences created a center for free legal assistance to forced migrants during the war;

- volunteer teachers and students were assisted in purchasing cars, tactical first-aid kits, walkie-talkies, thermal imagers, turnstiles, quadcopters, etc. for the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine;

- voluntary activities (hippotherapy classes for wounded soldiers,) and charity events were carried out at the initiative of student self-government bodies (participation in the actions "Heart to Heart", "St. Nicholas for Children", patronage of the Children's Home, participation in donation (for World Donor Day).
