Educational and Methodological Center of regulatory and legal support for academic activity (EMCRLSAA) of Kremenchuk Mykhailo Ostrohradskyi National University was created in 2008 in the context of new requirements of society to the quality of training of specialists with higher education. Oleksii Bialobrzheskyi, Associate Professor, Candidate of technical sciences was the first Head of the Center. As a result of a staff restructuring during 2013-2019, the staff of the center was overhauled, and new specialists, Andrii Lomonos, Candidate of technical sciences and Ruslan Puzyr, Doctor of Engineering Science came to the Center. Since 2021, the Center is headed by Olena Bespartochna, Associate Professor, Candidate of Science (Education).

Members of EMCRLSAA ensure the coordination of the University departments in the course of licensing and accreditation activities, in cooperation with leading experts of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, of the State Accreditation Commission, and since 2019 - of National Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance, they exercise control and monitoring of the advancement of accreditation and licensing cases. The Center Employees rapidly respond to changes in licensing and accreditation conditions approved by the Resolutions of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, informing guarantors of educational programs about all the innovations. The specialists of EMCRLSAA provide information and methodological support for negotiations between the University and the National Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance on the purchase of services for educational programs licensing and accreditation.
For ten years of its activities, the Center has provided informational and methodical support for licensing of 14 Bachelor's degree specialties, 18 Master's degree specialties, 12 Doctor of philosophy degree specialties, as well as for accreditation of 22 Junior Specialist's degree educational programs (specialties), 12 Bachelor's degree educational programs, 4 Specialist's degree educational programs, and 51 Master's degree ones.
In terms of quality assurance in education, the Center constructively cooperates with other subdivisions of the university on education quality monitoring, holds regular consultations with guarantors of educational programs, acquainting them with news and recommendations from the National Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance, furnishing them with links to suitable online seminars of the National Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance, advising the guarantors of the educational programs on self-evaluation and its documentation. The specialists of the Center monitor and update the register of experts from the scientific and pedagogical staff of the University.
To display relevant information within the activities of Educational and Methodological Center of regulatory and legal support for academic activity, a website has been developed, its content is completed and updated on a regular basis. The functions of the EMCRLSAA are constantly improved in accordance with the updated requirements for the quality of training in higher education institutions.

EDUCATIONAL AND METHODOLOGICAL CENTER OF REGULATORY AND LEGAL SUPPORT FOR ACADEMIC ACTIVITY OF KREMENCHUK MYKHAILO OSTROHRADSKYI NATIONAL UNIVERSITY (referred to below as Center) was created in the context of the needs of regulatory and legal support for academic activity at Kremenchuk Mykhailo Ostrohradskyi National University in current realities, presenting new challenges for the quality of specialists with higher education training, which are due to the processes of radical social and economic transformations, the formation of a welfare state fundamentals, the need to create equal opportunities for activities in various spheres of social relations; development of world integration processes, introduction of modern technologies in the educational process.
The center was established to ensure the implementation of state standards in education, to promote the creation of appropriate methodological, educational, methodic, scientific and technical, organizational conditions for the organization of academic and educational process at the institute and faculties of Kremenchuk Mykhailo Ostrohradskyi National University (referred to below as University).
The Center is a structural subdivision of the University, which is subordinated to the Vice-Rector on methodological work. The activities of the Center are organized by its Head, who is responsible to the Vice-Rector for the successful implementation of the functions assigned to the department. The Head of the Center has the right, with the consent of the Vice-Rector, to require the University departments heads the prompt preparation of all necessary documents and reporting on University specialties accreditation (training programs), which is specified by relevant regulatory documents.
Within its competence, the Center develops recommendations and implements measures to organize the process of licensing and accreditation of the University specialties and training programs and of the University on the whole, and therefore coordinates its activities with the Law of Ukraine "On Higher Education", and orders of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
The issues of the Center's work and of normative legal support for the academic activity are systematically considered at the meetings of the administration (Methodical Council) of the University. Scientific and methodological recommendations are submitted for consideration to the Vice-Rector for methodological work of the University and, if necessary, are implemented by order or prescription of the Rector of the University.
THE MAIN PURPOSE OF THE CENTER'S ACTIVITY is to promote the organization of the academic activity under the current legislation and its legal support at the institute and the faculties of the University, to implant modern methods and technologies in the educational process.
The missions of the Center are:
- Generalization and analysis of the state of fulfillment of the requirements of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine to ensure the academic activity at the University, development of directions for its improvement taking into account the latest positive educational trends in Ukraine and Europe, the need for higher education development in Ukraine.
- Assistance to faculties and institutes in methodical support of preparation of reports on self-evaluation for carrying out accreditation expert evaluation.
- Execution of the preliminary inspection of reports on self-evaluation of specialties (training programs).
- Preparation and submission of accreditation documentation for consideration by the Academic Council of the University, for approval by the Rector of the University.
- Support and control over the implementation of all stages of accreditation or licensing of the specialty (training programs).
- Development of methodological principles for the implementation of higher education standards in terms of training of specialists of all qualification levels at the University.
- Development of methodological recommendations to institutes and faculties on the formation of educational and qualification characteristics, educational and professional programs, curricula and changes to them.
- Synthetics of the submitted information and evaluation of the state of legal support for the academic activity, development of recommendations for its improvement.
