The Faculty was established in 1989 in Kremenchug branch of the Kharkov Polytechnic Institute, in 2003 it was reorganized into the Faculty of pre-university and post-diploma training, and from 2006 - in the educational center of postgraduate and distant education. From 2013 subvisuion receives the status of center of proffesional development and adaptation of Kremenchuk Mykhailo Ostohradskyi National University.
Center plays an important role in the regional development of adult education, in implementing the principle of "Education over a whole life", the widespread introduction of new educational technologies for person's professional adaption to the requirements of the modern labor market.
